According to a source close to the BCCI, Rishabh has injured all the ligaments.  The posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) is a stressor.  The doctors said that his necessary surgery has been done.  The doctors think that he will not need any more surgery for now.

On December 30, 2022, Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper-batter of the national team, was involved in a terrible car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway.  Panth was admitted to Max Hospital in Roorkee soon after the accident.  From there, Panth was airlifted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai.  After the accident, BCCI took responsibility for Panth's entire treatment.
